Meet The Team


Katrina Bullen

Starting my career over 20 years ago as a sales executive in the hotel industry, my approach was tenacious, driven and goal-orientated, with a sense of fun, aside from growing in experience and achievements. Not much else has changed! My career within hospitality took me the length and breadth of the UK (and its motorways!). After having children things changed a little and I wanted more, but more of many things that being employed couldn’t quite give me. Calling on my experience as a commercial leader within the hospitality industry, I chose to follow a dream and create something new and fresh within the property market. And so Caplen Estates was born!

Opening my own business, Caplen Estates has been the ultimate experience. Working with family can always be tricky but going into business with my brother has offered me a level of support I could have only imagined. Trust, empathy, drive and wanting the best for you and all those around you.

Now officially on the High Street, our business is going from strength to strength, especially in tough times for the industry. We are excited about the future and reaching our dreams. Watch this space!


Adam Capon

Having worked in the property industry for many years, I wanted to take things to the next level, giving me an opportunity to showcase my skills and experience within our family business at Caplen Estates.

Living and growing up within the local area enables me to connect with the local community and its customers, offering our values, which derive from being a family business; honesty, transparency, trust and great customer service.

Emma Arkle
Office Manager

After working as a PA in large corporate organisations in Central London and Canary Wharf for over 13 years, I moved to Abu Dhabi in the UAE, where I took on the role of Business Development Manager in an international bank. Following 10yrs in the UAE and a career break to raise my two children, I now work as Office Manager for Caplen Estates, with a focus primarily on all aspects of office management, marketing and sponsorship opportunities within the local community and also providing support to our Sales Team.


Rebecca Keeling
Senior Lettings Negotiator

I love to travel and experience new things and have recently returned from taking a year out travelling around Australia and Bali. When I returned, I knew that the property industry was where my passion lies and that providing the highest level of customer care and satisfaction throughout my clients journey, from start to finish is where I excelled in most. I have over 4 years Lettings experience and over 8 years in customer service.

My reason for joining Caplen Estates, was for the drive and energy they have in building their business and for ensuring all clients receive a 5-star service. I’m excited to improve and expanded my skill set and to learn from the impressive amount of experience and knowledge Caplen Estates have to offer.

Having worked in Sales for over 8 years in Essex, I was recently hired as Sales & Lettings Negotiator for Caplen Estates. My primary focus is assisting prospective buyers in finding their dream home and seeing the purchase through to exchange and finally completion.

After working in large corporate companies, I welcomed the move into an independent family business, where strong family values are key. I wholeheartedly believe that customer service is key in this industry. Knowing my clients and truly understanding what they are looking for in their dream home is what I strive towards.

After leaving college I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do as a career so decided to go traveling, I visited some amazing places. It was one of the best times of my life. When I arrived back in the UK and decided to venture into the world of property and became a negotiator at an independent local estate agency. After three years I took the next step in my career by landing my dream job as a senior negotiator for a large independent London-based estate agent. After 5 years I started my very own little family and have taken the plunge to join the family business. Taking on the role as sales progressor, supporting our clients from start to finish, I am excited for the future with Caplen Estates.


Ellie Smith
Property Manager

After leaving school, I studied hospitality for a year before becoming a Nursery Nurse. I have always enjoyed taking care of people’s wants and needs and that is when I discovered property management. I enjoy interacting with landlords and tenants and even better, I help solve any issues that arise, from a broken boiler to a simple lock change. This is what I LOVE to do! No issue is too big or too small… I am always here to help.

After working in an administration role for the past 18 years I was looking for a new challenge.

When the opportunity arose to work in the local community within a family run business I jumped at the chance.
